I'm Out of Here

Steve and I will spend the first few days alone, getting in some quality 'us' time. Then, a few of our friends will be in and out (no pun intended). It should be a great time.

It's Friday night and the only thing I've packed are books. I always bring a ton of books with me, not to mention the small library I have at the house. Not that I get around to reading everything I bring but that's not the point now, is it?

I'm famous for re-reading the books that I love. Do you do that? People find this quirk amusing and some characterize re-reading a book as a colossal waste of time.

Au contraire, I say. Would you wear a pair of diamond earrings only once? Book lovers know that those special books in your life are like diamonds. I'd rather return and mine diamonds than wind-up on the beach with a cubic zarconia (or other diamond simulant). Not that I don't bring new reads. I'm just careful to pack a few old favorites as well.

By the way, I'm a Rockin' Girl Blogger. I know, I know, I'm as surprised as you.

Rockin', of course, comes from the term Rock 'n' Roll. So, we'll start with the Led Zeppelin of Girl bloggers. This has to be one of the funniest posts on sex/dating I've ever read. Perhaps the funniest. That's why Chickpea is a classic. That girl works on a whole other level.

Kat - Love, patience and hope. That's enough, isn't it?

Ms. SD - Our own Saucy Aussie. Fun, open and playful. If she were candy she'd be....a Sweet Tart. Yes, a Sweet Tart. I like Sweet Tarts. She's also bilingual, blogging in English and not her native Australian.*

Stiletto Diaries So many Canadian bloggers rock. Especially the girls. I've always liked this blog and it's author. Shasta is full of enthusiasm, embraces new experiences and gets the most out of life. I remember promoting Stiletto Diaries when Shasta first began blogging. Now she's all grown up. Makes me feel old.

Pianti - I'm outside the box on this one. Pianti is not a blogger but she is wedded to The Wanton One. Things have really heated-up over at Wanton Maleness and Pianti is half the reason why. She sounds like a wonderful wife and since she's so integral to WM's blog, why not give Mrs. WM a shout-out?

If Dawn didn't already have one, she'd be on my list. Dawn's....just cool. And she rocks. Literally. Well, she has a guitar.
