Man Update

Steve - The main relationship gets an A+ of late. We're spending a good deal of time together and things are well. The sex is, as usual, great. That's never really been an issue. We've made a concerted effort to not let various scheduling difficulties get in our way. Steve has really made an effort in this department, making sure that we have some quality time together. He even turns off his cell phone (gasp!) for hours at a time.

Most importantly, we are not just collapsing on the couch at night and watching television. We are talking, going for walks, ....doing things. While merely 'hanging' has it's place, I've found that actually doing things together fosters a greater degree of intimacy than merely talking.

Steve is still seeing Chase. They get together once a week. We try to coordinate his time with Chase with my time with Chris. That works perhaps 50% of the time. I find that I like Chase. She has proven to be very mature, calling me on occasion to make sure that her plans with Steve do not conflict with anything I may have planned with Steve. Chase and I may have worked out an amicable, mature arrangement.

All in all, I like where we are at this time.

Chris - Yes, Chris is back in the picture. Things are different now. That was inevitable. In many ways things are better. Problems that seem insurmountable when unspoken somehow seem manageable once they're out in the open.

Chris calls me twice a week and I typically reserve one night a week for him. He still works nights so scheduling time together can be difficult.

I mentioned things are different. It's difficult to describe but there is a certain cautious nature in how we handle each other. There's a space between us that had not existed. That space is filled with my vulnerability and fragility and his ego and heart. Neither of us wants to bridge that gap for fear of upsetting what we've rebuilt over the summer.

He's changed. When happy, he seems happier than I've ever seen him. When sad or quiet, he's more so than before. A few weeks back he said that he's "weighed the good and the bad and has decided that he wants to be in my life."

My response was, that such an arrangement was possible...with one condition. I asked him to let me know if someone else entered his life. Someone special he could envision being with forever. Chris agreed to that but had one condition of his own. He said there were times he would be down and would need to step back a few paces. I would need to allow him to do that with no questions because it "wasn't my issue, it was his." I found his introspection....startling...I guess startling is the proper word. Not that he is incapable of introspection. It's just that he, like so many men I know, choose not to exercise that muscle. Or, if they do, they don't discuss the results of that introspection with me.

Cooper - Cooper is an easy update. Great guy with a great, big cock. We have fun together and he doesn't want anything more. He is back home now for a while. He had a job offer that would allow him to stay here but it fell through (after he had already turned down another position). Right now it looks like he'll be back at some point, he hopes by Thanksgiving or Christmas. He has a few leads on jobs but nothing certain.

Cooper's fun to have around but the reason for the move back east, a very ill relative, is not pleasant. We e-mail every now and then.

So, that's the team. We're ready for the fall season and I hope we can go all they way.
